Blox Fruits Awakening Guide 2026: Every Fruit, Every Raid, Every Cost
Awakening is expensive. Choose wisely. Full awakening costs 12,000-18,200 Fragments per fruit. That is 15-60 raid completions depending on your clear speed. Grinding the wrong fruit first will set you back weeks. This guide tells you exactly what to awaken, in what order, so you do not waste time.
How Awakening Actually Works
The awakening system is simple in concept but punishing in execution. You run a raid for a specific fruit, kill enemies across five islands, defeat the boss, and earn Fragments. Fragments are spent at the Mysterious Entity NPC to awaken individual moves. Each move has its own Fragment cost and unlocks new visual effects, increased damage, larger hitboxes, or entirely new functionality.
The catch: raids are per-fruit. You cannot run a Light raid and spend the Fragments on Dough awakening. You must run the raid for the fruit you want to awaken. And raids require a fruit of the corresponding type equipped — you cannot enter a Dough raid with a Buddha fruit. This means you need to either own the fruit you want to awaken or find someone hosting the raid for you.
| Requirement | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Player Level | 700 | 1,200+ (raids are balanced for max-level players) |
| Fruit Mastery | Any | 300+ mastery on the fruit you are awakening |
| Combat Style | Depends on fruit | Buddha users: Sword main. Dough users: Fruit main. |
| Solo Capable? | No (below level 2,000) | Dough/Buddha users can solo at max level with good accessories |
S-Tier: Awaken These First (No Exceptions)
| Fruit | Moves to Awaken | Total Fragments | Best For | Time to Grind |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dough | 5 | 18,200 | PvP (best in game) | 25-40 solo raids |
| Buddha | 4 | 14,500 | PvE / Grinding | 20-30 solo raids |
Dough (Awakened): The undisputed king of PvP. Awakened Dough gets massive AOE on every move, a stun on its Z move that chains into a one-shot combo, and the V move (Scorching Donut) creates a rolling ring of death that controls space better than any other ability in the game. The awakening costs are the highest in the game for a reason — the power spike is that dramatic. An unawakened Dough user will lose to an awakened Dough user 100% of the time at equal skill level. The gap is not close.
🍩 Dough Raid Strategy: Bring a Buddha user as your partner. The Buddha player clears the mobs with their enormous transformation hitbox while you focus on the boss. This split — Buddha clears adds, Dough kills boss — clears in 6-8 minutes per run. Solo Dough raids take 12-15 minutes and are significantly harder because Dough's single-target damage is mediocre for bosses.
Buddha (Awakened): Awakened Buddha is the single best grinding investment in Blox Fruits. The transformation hitbox becomes enormous — you can hit enemies from across the screen with melee attacks. The damage reduction during transformation makes you nearly unkillable in PvE content. This is the fruit you use to grind levels, farm Sea Beasts, collect materials, and carry raids for other fruits. If you awaken nothing else, awaken Buddha. Everything else in the game becomes faster once you have an Awakened Buddha in your inventory.
A-Tier: Strong Second Awakenings
| Fruit | Moves | Fragments | Best For | Priority Over S-Tier? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | 4 | 14,000 | Travel / Mobility | Only if you travel constantly |
| Magma | 4 | 14,000 | Sea Beast Hunting | Only if Sea Beasts are your main activity |
| Rumble | 4 | 14,500 | PvP (budget Dough) | If you cannot afford/obtain Dough |
Light V2: Awakened Light's flight move is the fastest transportation in the game — faster than boats, faster than any other fruit's mobility. The V2 awakening also gives Light's moves actual damage, making it viable for grinding through the Second Sea. If you spend significant time traveling between islands, Light V2 pays for itself in saved minutes within the first week.
Magma: Awakened Magma does bonus damage to Sea Beasts, making it the most efficient Sea Beast hunter. Sea Beasts drop rare materials used in accessory upgrading, so having an awakened Magma in your fruit inventory is a long-term investment that pays dividends. The awakening itself is straightforward — Magma raids are among the easiest, and the Fragment costs are standard.
B-Tier: Awaken Only if You Main These Fruits
| Fruit | Moves | Fragments | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flame | 3 | 12,000 | Decent budget PvE option. Awakened Flame does respectable AOE damage and is easy to use. If Flame is your main fruit and you cannot afford Dough or Buddha, awakening it is reasonable. |
| Ice | 3 | 12,000 | Stun utility is the only selling point. Awakened Ice's freeze lasts longer and has a larger AOE, which makes it useful in team PvP as a support role. As a solo fruit, the damage is too low to justify the Fragment cost over other options. |
C-Tier: Do Not Awaken These (Unless You Have Nothing Else to Spend On)
| Fruit | Reason to Skip |
|---|---|
| Dark | Awakened moves look cool but the damage increase is minimal. Dark's utility (stun, pull) exists at base form. You are spending 10,000+ Fragments for visual effects. |
| Quake | The tsunami move is fun but inconsistent. Hitbox is buggy on uneven terrain. PvP viability is matchup-dependent. Not worth the grind unless Quake is your permanent main. |
| Spider | Awakened Spider has niche uses in team PvP for area denial. As a solo fruit, it is too slow and too situational. Fragment cost is not justified for most players. |
| Paw | The lowest priority awakening in the game. Paw is a mobility/utility fruit, and the awakened moves do not meaningfully improve either function. Spend your Fragments literally anywhere else. |
Raid Strategy: How to Clear Faster and Die Less
Raids follow the same structure regardless of fruit: five islands, each with waves of NPC enemies and a miniboss on the final wave. After clearing all five islands, you face the raid boss. Clear time determines your Fragment reward bonus — faster clears give more Fragments per run.
Universal Raid Tips
- Buddha + DPS duo is the meta. The Buddha player clears mob waves with transformation AOE while the DPS player (using the fruit being awakened) focuses minibosses and the final boss. This composition clears 30-40% faster than any other setup.
- Do not use Awakened moves during the raid. This sounds obvious but new players forget: you are running the raid to get the awakening. You do not have it yet. Plan your strategy around your fruit's base moves.
- Accessories matter more than level. A level 1,500 player with a good accessory setup (Pale Scarf + Swan Glasses + Lei) will clear faster than a level 2,000 player with random accessories. Invest in your accessories before grinding raids.
- Third Sea raids are harder but more rewarding. If you have access to the Third Sea, run raids there. Fragment rewards are roughly 20% higher, and the raid NPC difficulty increase is offset by the stronger accessories available in that sea.
⚠️ The Solo Trap: Soloing raids is slower and riskier than duoing. One death in a solo raid costs you 2-3 minutes of progress and the time bonus. Find a partner — even a random one from the raid lobby — and your clear time drops by 30-40% immediately. The Fragment grind is long enough without handicapping yourself.
The Optimal Awakening Order (Follow This)
- Buddha (full awakening) — Makes everything else faster. Grind levels, farm materials, carry other raids.
- Dough (full awakening) — If you play PvP. Skip to #3 if you are PvE-only.
- Magma (full awakening) — Sea Beast hunting for accessory materials.
- Light (V2 flight move only) — The travel upgrade. Awaken the flight move first; the combat moves can wait.
- Your main fruit — Whatever fruit you actually enjoy playing. By this point, you have the tools to grind anything.
This order saves you roughly 30-40 hours of total grind time compared to awakening fruits in whatever order looks fun. Buddha first makes every subsequent grind faster. Dough second secures your PvP presence. The rest is optimization. Follow it exactly, and you will have a fully awakened meta loadout in approximately two months of consistent play.
